Analyst, Financial Due-Diligence

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be involved in the acquisition’s due diligence process for a diverse portfolio of retail, office, industrial and multi-family properties located throughout the United States. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with due diligence checklists, reviewing seller war room, and compiling lease inventory for tenant lease abstracting.
• Perform acquisition due diligence review of historical property financial statements, real estate taxes, annual budgets, loan documents, service contracts, rent rolls, tenant leases/abstracts, A/R, tenant financial statements/sales reports and assist with comparison to underwriting.
• Assist in closing process with Estoppels, SNDA’s, prorations, closing statements and closing entries.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, trial balances and state compliance filings for investment level entities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree or in accounting or finance is required.   

EXPERIENCE:

• 2-4 years’ experience in Commercial Real Estate or Real Estate Accounting.
• Must be proficient in Excel and Argus Enterprise.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Excellent financial accounting and analytical skills.
• Strong due diligence, organizational, and written/ verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy along with ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Must be a collaborative team player with experience in a fast-paced environment.

TRAVEL:

 Position is based in NYC, travel as needed
