BentallGreenOak is recruiting for an Intern Analyst, Financial Planning and Analytics as part of the BGO Built to Lead Internship Program. As a BGO Built to Lead Intern, you will work alongside our industry leaders to help solve real-world challenges in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.  This is a paid 12-month developmental opportunity, and throughout the course of the placement, participants will have access to mentorship from senior leaders and to a formal training curriculum geared towards soft skills, business skills and leadership development. 

The Opportunity:

By joining our team as an Intern Analyst, Financial Planning and Analytics you learn how to prepare crucial financial models and presentations to support major corporate decisions of the CFO, Co-CEOs, and Management Committees.

Internship Date: May 2022 - April 2023 (12 Months)

What You Will Do:

Reporting and Decision Support

•  Learn about various metrics and reporting requirements of Asset Under Management (AUM) and Fee-Earning metrics;
•  Assist in preparing associated output reports to communicate these metrics (by fund, by investor type, square footage, asset type, etc.);
•  Assist in managing a database of Canadian assets by property;
•  Compiling information from various client finance/capital raising teams via Excel/PowerPoint;
•  Participate in developing a global database of properties and associated KPIs.

Financial Modeling Support

•  Assist in building and managing complex financial models and forecast for various departments of our business and support decision making at the highest levels of the company.

Who You Are:

•  Educational or working background in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting, or currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, with a preferred graduation date of late 2022 or early 2023
•  Appetite for learning and growing your skillset
•  Active listener and effective communicator
•  Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
•  Passion for commercial real-estate and financial analysis
•  Detail-oriented and comfortable working with tight deadlines
• Demonstrates accountability and ownership mindset
