Job Description
Pennybacker Capital is seeking a candidate to join its dynamic, entrepreneurial team. Headquartered in Austin, TX with offices in New York, NY, Denver, CO and Charlotte, NC, Pennybacker Capital is a rapidly growing real estate private equity firm that invests in all product types in select dynamic growth markets across the United States. We utilize high quality data analysis, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence tools to identify key investment themes and use that information to target mismanaged, undercapitalized, or undervalued equity and debt investments. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and team-oriented individual with a passion for identifying and solving complex problems and a drive for continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling for both credit and equity investments
- Prepare cash flow models that will be utilized to value real estate investments through DCF analysis and other valuation techniques
- Preparation of Investment Committee materials
- Market research and competitive property analysis
- Physical and financial property due diligence
- Assist on asset management for portfolio assets including business plan execution
- Portfolio property tours to observe status of business plans and identify new opportunities
- Competitive property tours and market analysis to identify competitive strategies
- Financial and operational performance assessments and proforma updates on current portfolio
- Assistance in the execution of refinance and disposition transactions
Qualifications - Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis preferably in commercial real estate
- Strong financial modeling skills preferably with experience modeling CRE assets and capital structures
