Manages end-to-end processes and transactions for goods and service providers, such as procurement, onboarding, and payments. Responsible for the bidding process, contributes to the sourcing of vendors and the negotiation of contracts and pricings of goods and services.

At CoStar Group we are currently seeking a Customer Refunds Processing Specialist to join our team in our Washington, DC headquarters. The person will be responsible for full life cycle of Check, ACH and Credit card refund processing with an emphasis on quality/fast turnaround time/ research/analyzing/reporting experience while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review refunds forms, audit, compute and verify if all requirements are met for a refund to be processed further according to the Cash applications Refunds policy
  • Key in all supplier names, addresses and bank details timely and accurately on a daily basis in Oracle Cloud
  • Process Refund invoices upon request in Oracle cloud
  • Process Credit card refunds and keep complete audit trail documentation for the execution of each refund. Post the Journal entries in Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) and Refund entries in Oracle for each credit card refund.
  • Communicate with other internal functional departments and/or customers to research and resolve inquiries related to refunds and/or refund reports
  • Handle the physical check refund process and enter all data points related to shipping dates and methods in Excel in a timely and accurate manner
  • Set up and assist in the maintaining the global supplier database within Oracle related to customer refunds
  • Ensure 1099 supplier data is complete and accurate
  • Create, edit, enhance and publish ad-hoc departmental reporting needs for Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) using Excel
  • Ensure financial deadlines are met for month-end financial closing as well as for internal service level agreements for processing refunds and refund invoices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS degree required
  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience or relevant AR experience with high focus on customer refunds processing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver expectations in a timely manner
  • Ability to work across multiple departments


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Intermediate EXCEL skills
  • 2+ years of accounts payable, procurement (P2P), AR or other financial experience is preferred
  • 2 years ERP system experience (Oracle or SAP) preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
