Located in Boston, MA the CoStar Advisory Services team has set the industry standard for decades offering independent research, a unique set of analytic solutions, actionable insights and strategic advice to investors on hundreds of global markets in North America and Europe. The firm provides consulting to a "Who's Who" of CRE market participants, including real estate investment advisors, pension funds, REITs, commercial banks, sovereign wealth funds, developers and insurance companies. CoStar Advisory Services is currently looking for a Consultant to join our growing team. Consultants play an important role in client management, thought leadership, and project coordination, for both individual clients and a wide range of special projects across the firm. Most importantly, this person can define and create end-to-end CRE consulting solutions to meet client needs, including actionable investment strategies.

Consultants at CoStar Advisory Services are team players who own problems along with solutions and can meaningfully participate across the firm to achieve business objectives for clients.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated thought leadership in producing actionable recommendations in the areas of commercial real estate portfolio management, asset management, investor relations, market selection, and risk management.
• Excellent project management skills with proven ability to participate in ad hoc team of colleagues in creative problem solving and custom client deliverables.
• Demonstrated client management skills.
• Well-developed presentation abilities and demonstrated interest in publishing research notes for a CRE audience.
• Minimum of two years direct CRE experience.
• Experience with and demonstrated usage of all key business intelligence applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to succeed in fast moving and intellectually challenging professional environment.
• A Bachelor's degree preferably in economics, statistics, business, math, real estate, or finance.
• Graduate degree, CFA or CAIA designation considered a plus.

Additional:

• Experience with data analytics/visualization applications such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau and proficiency in SQL, Python, or R-Studio a plus.
• Familiarity with econometric analysis along with the ability to draw relevant and actionable conclusions from large data sets a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct client management and interaction.
• Conduct independent and creative research applied to understanding the drivers of commercial real estate markets.
• Provide actionable CRE advice and creative solutions/deliverables to meaningfully impact a client's business.
• Work with team of consultants and analysts to skillfully analyze data from CoStar's real estate databases.
• Interact with other consultants across CoStar Advisory Services to both keep abreast of recent and expected market factors, as well as, assist in providing substantive responses to client inquiries.
• Participate in client presentations.
• Publish articles, research notes and whitepapers on the state of the CRE marketplace along with factors influencing its outlook.
• Support firm-wide initiatives at the direction of senior management.
