A real estate investing firm focused on investing in multifamily assets on select West Coast markets is seeking an analytical, organized and highly-motivated Acquisitions Associate Intern to provide modeling and diligence support for multifamily deals the firm is pursing. 

In this job, one will gain exposure to every aspect to the bidding, diligence, debt procurement, deal closing and asset turnaround process. Our firm has developed underwriting models and parameters and as well as deep contacts in our focus markets to assist in underwriting/diligencing assets. The candidate will not be expected to source deals or have any contacts in the local markets we target

Our firm targets apartment communities with under-market rents and repositions them into competitive Class B+ buildings with focused management. We create value by turning neglected properties into desirable buildings with quality finishes while keeping rents at a sizable discount to Class A properties. 

Main Responsibilities 

• Financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis in Excel
• Interact with the transaction broker to obtain details on individual deals for underwriting and diligence purposes 
• Analysis and aggregation of market research (rent study, demographic data, etc) 

Skills / Qualification:

• Excellent grasp of Excel and strong multifamily modeling experience 
• Demonstrated research, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Clear and efficient communicator

• Self-starter who is comfortable working independently 

Location: 
100% remote position. Principals located in San Deigo and New York City.
