Construction Accountant

Job Description

AION Partners, a New York based owner and operator of over 16k multifamily units, has recently closed their 2nd value add real estate fund and is actively acquiring new properties. The internal construction team is looking to bring on a new team member to help execute the value-add business plans associated with our growing real estate portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate & track contracts, purchase orders, and change orders
• Setup new properties inside of accounting software and manage the input / processing of contracts & invoicing through the system.
• Collect and maintain compliance documents (Certificates of Insurance, W-9, Licenses)
• Manage the on boarding process of preferred vendors through the execution of the Master Service Agreement, compliance in Net Vendor and tutorial of invoice payment process.
• Provide administrative assistance to construction team
• Assist in the launching of new accounting software
• Assist preconstruction as needed in preparation of bid packages and prequalification of subcontractors

Desired Qualifications:

• College diploma (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting administrative support, contract administration, or construction project management is essential
• Knowledge of the construction industry and processes
• Ability to conduct accounting and bookkeeping processes
• Excellent time management skills, proven ability to meet all required deadlines while handling multiple priorities
