Company Description:
TKF Real Estate is a midtown NYC based investment and management firm.  TKF is led by former executives of Brookfield Properties and SL Green Realty Corp.  The firm is currently focused on office, multifamily, urban retail and mixed-used assets in select US innovation centers with the opportunity to implement creative repositioning, redevelopment and development strategies.

Position:
The firm seeks a highly motivated real estate professional with 5 or more years’ experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, and offers the potential for significant career growth.  As a Vice President, the new hire will report to the Managing Principals of the firm and play a key role in all aspects of the business.  The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Argus and Excel with experience in deal sourcing, investment underwriting, due diligence management and closing.

Responsibilities:

• Source, underwrite, negotiate and close commercial real estate investments in the Metro Centers of New York, South Florida, DC, LA, San Francisco, Denver and Boston.
• Coordinate underwriting and due diligence process including financial modeling, accounting reviews, tenant interviews, Argus validation, market research, lease abstracting, drafting investment memorandums and coordinating third-party reports. Position will primarily be responsible for managing the due diligence process on new acquisitions.
• Present and defend potential investments to the Investment Committee. Must be able to interpret market information and asset pricing, as well as develop a clear and concise investment strategy by effectively analyzing the strengths, weaknesses, value-creation opportunities and risks of the proposed investment.
• Work with legal counsel to negotiate purchase agreements, partnership agreements and related legal documentation.
• Coordinate and interface with equity partners and lenders, including analysis of potential JV structures.
• Support management by preparing various investment memorandums to be presented to the investment committee and various capital partners.
• Excellent opportunity for candidates to be actively involved in asset management initiatives from initial asset acquisition through to successful investment disposition.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial real estate investment experience, preferably with direct experience in acquisitions
• Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably with a concentration in real estate, finance, mathematics, construction/development, business, or similar degree from a top tier institution
• MBA is a plus but not required
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Argus and Excel
• Sophisticated financial skills and capital markets perspective
• High degree of demonstrated organizational skills and problem-solving ability
• Experience with a variety of real estate asset types, office experience is a plus but not required.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Strong networking skills and contacts
• Diligent, hard worker, capable of thriving in an intense, high-energy, transaction-driven environment
• Willingness to travel

Candidates without Argus and commercial real estate experience will not be considered.  There is no relocation assistance provided, local NYC candidates preferred.
