Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform market research, financial analysis, underwriting and modeling on new financing opportunities
- Real estate loan asset management and servicing
- Broker and Borrower relationship management including site visits
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets for tracking loan performance
- Compile data and assist with quarterly property valuations
- Assist in analysis and presentation of transactions to capital partners
- Engage, compile, and analyze third party reports (e.g., Phase I, Property Condition, Survey, Title) and other general loan due diligence - team members have the opportunity to assume integral roles on projects
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Business, Economics or Finance; with Emphasis or Minor in Real Estate a plus.
- Prior experience in real estate
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
- High level of thoroughness and attention to detail; ability to find solutions to problems without direction, synthesize information, prioritize assignments, and execute tasks on time
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who works well in a team environment
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excel model building experience
- 3+ years of experience with a real estate asset management firm, a private equity firm, lender, owner/operator, servicer, investment bank, or broker
