GSA is looking for an Asset Management Analyst to support the NYC-based GSA team. This high-visibility role will provide general financial analysis across a range of deliverables, including business plans, performance benchmarks, scenario models, financial underwriting, trend analysis, transactional support, development summaries, financial dashboards, and internal/external reporting. This role will work in close contact with a two-person asset management team and will work cooperatively with various stakeholders in the organization and at other partner firms.

Duties-Investments
a. Analyze and develop business plans and create detailed and accurate cash flow modelling
b. Develop and maintain financial models to measure performance and reporting including early divestitures and new acquisitions
c. Maintain file structure for reporting, collating data from local teams to establish operational metrics, manage reporting across portfolios and ensure compliance with investment guidelines
d. Provide fund and client reporting to internal and external clients, ensuring its accuracy and timely delivery
e. Coordinate with management and marketing teams in production of materials for client presentations and investor queries
f. Gather, collate, and report on industry and portfolio research
g. Assist portfolio and fund managers with weekly, monthly, and quarterly commentaries. Good overview of financial markets and macroeconomic trends is required.
h. Track commercial leasing at our assets and assist with leasing/negotiation process
i. Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Duties - Acquisitions
a. Liaise with members of the acquisitions team to validate underwriting assumptions
b. Support the acquisition teams with risk analysis and associated transaction sensitivities
c. Produce financial analysis on investor returns and the net revenue to the GSA platform.

Essential Requirements
a. Bachelor’s Degree from a distinguished institution
b. 1-4 years’ experience with a demonstrable track record of analytical and modelling work
c. Excellent financial modelling, analysis, and research skills
d. High-level analytical, planning, organizing and problem-solving skills
e. Substantial level of skill in liaising with a range of stakeholders, using influencing, interpersonal, consultation and relationship building skills
f. Ability to evaluate financial data, and present conclusions to inform business decisions
g. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare presentations for stakeholders’ groups at varying levels
h. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word in addition to Argus
i. Experience of working with high levels of self-sufficiency, in a national/global organization with diverse workforces.
j. Proven exposure and ability to support the structure of high-value deals and execute effectively and efficiently


Desirable Requirements
a. Experience in student housing, hospitality or residential (multifamily) sector highly desired
b. Experience across various geographies (Northeast, Southwest, West, etc.)
