Responsibilities

 

  • Support Head of ESG in incorporating ESG initiatives and programs across the organization and work with various departments including acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management and others to develop ESG processes
  • Support client management through completion of ESG sections of RFPs and RFIs, presentation materials, and fund reporting
  • Work with external consultants on ESG data management. Be responsible for initiatives around ESG data management, collection, and governance
  • Work with various consultants and vendors to manage ESG projects such as renewable energy, resource efficiency, and climate risk and resilience projects
  • Do research and stay up-to-date on ESG initiatives in the real estate industry, vendors, technologies and peers
  • Support ESG Committee meetings and initiatives
  • Work with asset management and portfolio management teams to identify and implement ESG initiatives
  • Support DEI Council and initiatives on presentations, research, programming and partnerships

 

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of direct experience
  • Candidate must have a strong understanding of ESG in real estate
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Working knowledge of ESG reporting programs such as GRESB, TCFD, UNPRI and green building certification programs such as LEED, WELL and Fitwel
  • Comfort with large data sets, strong knowledge of excel, and be comfortable with ESG data in real estate and commonly used data platforms such as Energy Star Portfolio Manager and Measurabl
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, organized and willing to take initiative and work independently
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to independently problem solve
  • Advanced Excel skills, basic SQL skills and familiarity with business intelligence tools, Power Query, Power BI and Excel VBA are a plus
