RMWC, founded in 2008, manages over $500MM of discretionary capital across four single-strategy Secured Bridge Lending funds and one multi-strategy credit fund which invests in several sectors across the private credit universe. All five funds are income-producing, capital preservation vehicles for “sleep well at night money”. RMWC also provides commercial real estate transactional advisory services.
CEO Coleman Andrews’ and CIO Steven Fischler’s combined experiences and perspectives are integral to managing private real estate credit through turbulent markets. They lead a team which since 2012, together and in their prior work, has collectively transacted as principal or advisor on more than $3.5 billion of funded real estate-based mortgage, mezzanine, and equity investments.
Coleman’s diverse experience at Bain Capital and Bain & Company, his prior experience as CEO of two global companies, and lessons learned through several economic and market cycles informs the Firm’s strategies.
Steven’s extensive front-line real estate lending experience at Lehman during the bankruptcy and value recovery periods informs the Firm’s sourcing, underwriting, and asset management.
Job Introduction:
The Candidate will be responsible for critical activities related to the portfolio/fund reporting, finance, operations, and assist in business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the Firm. The Candidate will (a) drive the portfolio and fund level reporting RMWC provides to its investors, (b) continuously work to optimize the finance, reporting and accounting functions (c) be responsible for bolstering compliance and internal controls in a collaborative and value-added way, and (d) actively reinforce our team-based, performance-oriented culture.

The job will be based either in New York or in RMWC’s satellite office in Chagrin Falls, OH where the Head of Finance, Operations & Compliance is located. There will be occasional travel as part of the role.
Key areas of responsibility and involvement will include:
- Work closely with Head of Finance, Operations & Compliance on the following activities:
- Fund level and transaction level reporting
- budget development and internal financial analysis and the building of financial models
- Interact with third party audit and tax vendors
- managing key vendor and partner relationships including bank, legal and third-party administrator
- prioritizing and executing on efficiency and infrastructure initiatives as the Firm continues to grow
- Oversee the current data capture and investment reporting processes and systems. Understand the needs of the various internal and external constituents. Identify gaps, redundancies, and shortfalls in the current process. Implement improvements and ensure ongoing quality.
- Oversee the Firm’s third-party administrator(s) and service providers to obtain, review, and integrate the data they provide into the Firm’s in-house accounting systems, databases, and reporting processes. Identify and implement areas for improvement and efficiency.
- Provide support to Investor Relations and marketing efforts.
- Work collaboratively with other RMWC team members.
Qualifications:
- BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with at least five years’ relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of financial statements.
- Excellent computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent writing, communications and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible and dependable team player with a proven, verifiable record of integrity and trustworthiness.
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
- High degree of proficiency with systems and technology.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously as necessary.
- Flexibility and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with a Big Four accounting firm or investment firm in commercial real estate or banking is preferred.
