CA South is a fast-growing commercial real estate development and investment management firm based in Nashville, TN. We are a dynamic, hard-charging group focused on mixed-use urban infill and industrial projects, and we create outsized returns by being design-focused, creative, opportunistic, and nimble.
This role, which reports directly to the Director of Capital Markets, is an opportunity to play a significant part of underwriting, market research, deal evaluation, asset management, and reporting for new and existing projects.
Detailed Description of the Role and Responsibilities:
Project Underwriting: Significant role in the financial underwriting process from initial pro forma analysis to project close for ground-up development and value-add acquisitions, primarily focused on apartment, condo, industrial, and SFR property types.
Advanced Modeling: Complex, in-depth quantitative analysis in Excel of various project capitalization alternatives, joint venture terms, and investment vehicle structures.
Market Analysis: Performing comprehensive and in-depth market research for both existing and new markets, including ongoing diligence around key supply / demand factors such as rents, absorption, competitive sets, etc.
Investment Memorandums: Drafting presentations and deal decks in PowerPoint for project specific capital raises (both debt and equity).
Monitor and analyze ongoing deals to ensure the project stays within budget and is delivered on time.
Oversight of investor/lender due diligence requests and data room management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Mathematics, or a relevant field of study.
- Previous experience in commercial real estate preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient oral and written communications skills. Collaborates well in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deals at various stages simultaneously.
- Professional analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions.
- Results driven; ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
- Highly determined with a passion for real estate and positive attitude is an absolute must.
- Required to work on-site 4 days per week + 1 day work-from-home (no remote candidates will be considered)
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
