Triangle Capital Group is a privately-held opportunistic real estate investment management firm based in New York City. Triangle invests across all property types and geographies via multiple forms of real estate debt and equity; including commercial mortgage-backed securities, whole loans, B-Notes, mezzanine loans, REO assets, and other joint-venture opportunities. Position Summary:

Triangle Capital is seeking qualified individuals for a Summer Intern Analyst position to support the acquisitions team. Qualified candidates will be a rising undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, have relevant work experience, communicate effectively both in writing and orally, thrive in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, and have strong attention to detail.   

Preferred candidates will have a background in real estate finance or investment banking and have a high proficiency with Excel and financial modeling. Argus experience is a plus.   

The Summer Analyst will be responsible for the following, but are not limited to: 

• Supporting associates in day to day tasks such as property valuation, market research and financial modeling.
• Providing asset and market level due diligence through online resources and discussions with brokers, property managers.
• Preparing investment pipeline reports to determine assets of interest.
• Analyzing operating statements, rent rolls, and market data.
• Writing investment memorandums using asset and market analysis.
• Monitoring and reporting on CMBS bond holdings and underlying assets

 Basic Qualifications:

• Rising undergraduate pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred.
• Solid proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint (presentations).
• Ability to self-manage.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong initiative and creativity.

• Ideal candidates will have a proven history of being self-motivated, highly organized, open communicators who are eager to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with limited formal structure. This position will have a focus on financial analysis, problem solving, and project management.
