Summary

Align Capital Solutions (“Align”) is a recently formed business whose strategic approach is to bring creative financial solutions to both public and private real estate owners and operators.  Our institutional, public, and private clients are interested in creating the physical spaces to meet their needs, but the current standard approaches are limiting their ability to do so. Given our unique affiliations with Clark Construction Group and our relationships with key debt and equity providers, we will help our clients create long-term assets that meet their risk and return goals through creative financial solutions along with turnkey solutions.  As an Analyst/Associate, you will gain firsthand knowledge of how the capital markets influence financial decision-making for both public, private and P3 investments.  As a startup, Align will afford you the opportunity to scale a business that has unlimited reach as we work to deliver assets that are integral to our everyday lives.

Responsibilities

• Work with the leadership of Align, Edgemoor and Clark to develop unique solutions to asset creation
• Help cultivate relationships with various sources of debt and equity capital
• Lead quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective commercial real estate and P3 investments with a lens of both debt and equity
• Write investment recommendations
• Drive investment monitoring, product reporting, market research and marketing efforts
• Manage transaction documentation and execution (in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders, legal counsel, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree from a top-tier university with coursework emphasis on Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and/or Economics
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience at an Investment Bank, REIT, Commercial Bank, private investment firm, real estate development firm, or non-profit. 
• Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of deals and various transaction structures using financial modeling techniques and a strong attention to detail
• Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Interpersonal skills with strong work ethic and desire to learn and succeed
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry with a focus on real estate finance
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, initiatives, and priorities to conclusion within agreed upon deadlines
