Job Description

Linden Property Group was formed in 2010 to provide a high service apartment experience to renters of discount housing while creating stable, risk adjusted returns for investors.  We achieve our mission by acquiring apartment communities in need of physical or managerial improvements and executing a repositioning that elevates the properties to our standards.  The company has successfully acquired, financed, and operated sixteen workforce and affordable housing communities in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.  We currently own approximately 2,100 units in the Mid-Atlantic Region. 

We are actively working to grow our portfolio of investments and would like to hire an Associate to aid in those initiatives. Below is a description of the position, required experience, and enhancing characteristics for qualified candidates:


Travel/Office Attendance:          

  • Depending on asset needs and location, travel is estimated to be around 10-20% of the work schedule per month.
  • In office attendance is expected unless traveling for business purposes.

Areas of Responsibility:              

  • Manage daily operations of a portfolio of properties within Linden’s growing portfolio to meet or exceed financial and operational goals.
  • Manage working relationships with property managers, general contractors, lenders, and joint venture partners to execute asset-level  business plans.
  • Review and analyze monthly property financial statements.  Continuously produce creative ideas for optimization of net revenue, asset quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Produce quarterly reports on asset performance for Linden’s investors.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of construction loan draw packages and internally managed project reserve accounts.
  • Assist in all aspects of the real estate investment process including acquisitions, financings, asset management, and dispositions.

Experience Requirements:         

  • Prior relevant work experience in real estate asset management, acquisitions, development, construction management, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting, finance, real estate, or another relevant field.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple teams, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to be a part of an entrepreneurial, fast-growing company.
  • Demonstrated success working and collaborating in a team environment.
  • Must be well-composed and articulate; can represent the company well in the financial, operating, and contracting communities.
  • Familiarity with the concepts and terminology of financial analysis, construction, property underwriting, and/or debt & equity capital markets.
