Job Description
Haven Capital is a real estate private equity firm focused on acquiring new and existing ground leases positions in all major US markets. Haven works with real estate owners to provide flexible ground lease solutions to meet their needs. With a Haven ground lease, real estate owners benefit from a long-term, predictable funding structure that maximizes capital proceeds. Haven is led by experienced real estate professionals with debt and equity investing experience across all major real estate asset classes. Following the successful deployment of Haven’s first fund, the firm has recently finalized two new ground lease vehicles with more than $2.0 billion in unlevered equity.
We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Investments team in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior management with all analytical and transactional aspects of acquiring an investment, including due diligence, market research, financing, and closing
- Underwrite potential investment opportunities across all major asset types and develop a deep understanding of all major markets
- Create and maintain various financial models, presentations and investment summaries
- Interface with partners, lenders, and brokers
- Assist in the creation of quarterly asset management reports
- Review third-party reports, engineering reports, appraisals, market studies and other pertinent real estate documents with the goal of abstracting relevant and actionable data
- Communicate with various acquisition process stakeholders exhibiting a high degree of social intelligence and discretion
- Perform special ad hoc projects and analysis on a frequent basis
Haven Capital seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, mature, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical skills, the successful candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in finance, economics, or real estate
- 2 to 3 years of real estate finance experience
- Outstanding quantitative skills with a proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Argus
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication stills
- Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments
- Interest in an entrepreneurial environment with significant growth potential
- Team-oriented and collaborative
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
