Job Description
Sterling Organization is currently seeking a Private Equity – Fund Management & Analytics Analyst that will have significant exposure to, and be integrally involved in, the forecasting, analysis, and operational strategy of Sterling’s real estate assets and funds throughout the United States.
Over their first 2 – 4 years, Fund Management & Analytics Analysts will gain an in-depth understanding of retail and logistics/neighborhood fulfillment real estate assets, with high-potential employees having the ability to ascend from the analyst program to leadership roles within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist all departments with the strategic oversight of investment management activities related to Sterling’s investment portfolio
- Maintain current ARGUS and cash flow models and prepare cash flow forecasts with IRR and equity multiple sensitivities for existing assets that facilitate fund and property level decisions and help maximize the performance of Sterling’s investments
- Work closely with key company personnel in financing, leasing, and redevelopment projects
- Assist in the preparation of projections and analytics for the company’s annual fund investor meetings and quarterly reports as well as internal quarterly asset management strategy meetings
- Develop an in-depth understanding of both logistics/neighborhood fulfillment and retail investments (leases; property control rights; financials; property fundamentals etc.)
- Analyze property performance in relation to budgets; re-forecast based on actual events and create pro forma projections based on potential opportunities
- Perform ad-hoc reports and special projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- College graduate with strong record of academic achievement and knowledge of commercial real estate
- Candidate should be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word and experienced with other standard business software (ARGUS knowledge is preferred but not required)
- Candidate should be highly organized, have exceptional written and oral communication skills and should be able to take on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
