Some of the world’s largest brands (e.g., Amazon, BMW, DHL, FedEx, Pepsi) turn to us because they know an efficient supply chain will make their businesses run better, and a strategic relationship with Prologis will create a competitive advantage. As a top ranked U.S. company among the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World, we take our global footprint seriously.
Do you want to play a role in global commerce?
The beating heart of global supply chains are the logistic real estate assets that aggregate, store, sort, and deliver products. We are that heart. With the largest portfolio of assets in our industry, Prologis acts as a central hub for roughly 3% of the global GDP.
Prologis is seeking a Research & Strategy Manager in our San Francisco office. You will be part of a dynamic Global Research & Strategy team that partners with multiple groups within Prologis to move the company forward. On the Research team, everyone brings a unique perspective, and backgrounds that range from economics to urban planning to computer science allow us to leverage each individual’s knowledge and skills for a team that is greater than the sum of its parts.
We are looking for a team-centric individual with a passion for problem solving and knowledge building. That person will need solid technical, organizational, analytical and communications skills they can deploy in a range of assignments, to collaborate effectively, generate and test new ideas, and maximize the team’s positive impact on business outcomes. We need someone with the ability to turn data into insights, and insights into a memorable story for internal and external stakeholders.
What's needed to do that:
- Develop, execute and present major presentations and white papers, investment strategy recommendations, predictive analytics, and process improvements
- Work across the Global Research team and different groups within the company to formulate and test theses, leveraging both internal and third-party data
- Surface data and insights on structural trends influencing logistics real estate performance, e.g. macroeconomy, e-commerce, supply chain practices, demographics, etc.
- Translate learnings into innovative insights that drive action and change
- Help develop and maintain forecasts/models for key drivers of real estate performance: rents, cap rates, occupancy, economic and demographic forces, customer and investor trends, and risk factors
- Serve as a back-up point of communication between Global Research and external stakeholders such as public/private investors, customers and industry groups
Tell us if you're ready.
- Strong intellectual curiosity, logical problem solver and demonstrated strategic thinker
- Can creatively source information, connect the dots across trends, and bridge different perspectives
- Pro-active and excited to improve, generate and lead new initiatives
- Embraces change to adapt to evolving business needs
- High attention to detail and strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Statistics or a related field (or applicable work experience)
- 4+ years of experience preferably in Real Estate, Economics or Finance
- Advanced understanding of capital markets is a plus
- Econometric modeling and/or programming experience (Python, R, SQL) is a plus
Hiring Salary Range of: $118,000 -$144,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
