About the role
CBRE is looking for a dedicated Commissioning Operations Manager to lead a team of commissioning agents in Dallas, Texas. The incumbent will be managing a team who will provide oversight as an Owner's Representative for ground-up construction projects related to MEP coordination and installation. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
What you'll do
- Leading a CBRE team, consultants, and contractors, on healthcare projects.
- Leads and administers the commissioning process from concept design through functional testing of systems to post-occupancy verification.
- Participates in business development proposals and interviews with prospective customers.
- Writes commissioning section of contract documents and/or reviews work produced by others.
- Performs project design review during the design process; identifies discrepancies and monitors action plans.
- Recommends approval to client and documents work performed by the design team, contractors, and commissioning agents.
- Full responsibility for all QA/QC of commissioning services projects.
- Project director for large projects. Develops staffing plan and fee schedules for service proposals
- Oversees the delivery method of services; provides QA/QC review of all client results reports.
- Coordinates field operations to meet contracted solutions.
- Oversight and management of project staff, services, conduct, and results. Leads the professional development and growth of all Commissioning staff.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in relevant building science, or 15 years commissioning experience in lieu of degree experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience with electrical equipment/systems inspections, testing, and associated commissioning activities with a strong understanding of mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, and control systems
- Experience leading a commissioning team
- Experience with corporate office facilities, healthcare, life science, and/or laboratory is desired.
- Fundamentals in Engineering (FE) or equivalent, LEED AP, BCA CCP, CxA, Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent
