About the role

The Global HSE Director will lead the HSE risk reduction strategy, HSE annual operating plans and strengthening the safety culture to deliver strong HSE performance for an international corporate Life Sciences client account.

The Global HSE Director will have proven experience in cross-functional teamwork to deliver outstanding safety programs that elevate CBRE and client experience and delivers on the company's strategic goals & growth plans. This role will require strong people leadership and executive interpersonal skills with the ability to use data to influence business decisions and drive organizational change.

Travel will be mostly US domestic up to 20%.

Require residence in Philadelphia, PA area near the client sites.

What you'll do

  • Leads, develops, and implements leads HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) programs and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and Health, Safety and Environmental needs of a client account(s). Evaluates new and existing programs to assess suitability and implement changes in alignment with client and CBRE needs.
  • Monitors regulatory compliance within the area of responsibility. Timely communicates all findings, concerns and deficiencies to the responsible management team and ensures that issues are corrected. Develops strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to improve and maintain compliance as the need arises.
  • Uses data to drive continuous improvement in HSE business processes and programs to ensure HSE protective measures are optimized. Develops and recommends preventative and improvement measures to ensure the enhancement of HSE programs.
  • Coordinates the interactions with government agencies, client HSE leadership and CBRE HSE platform to deliver HSE risk
  • Acts as a Health, Safety and Environmental SME (Subject Matter Expert). Provides direct and timely counsel and information to management for region in matters pertaining to HSE, compliance, trends, performance and concerns.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of personnel staff engaged in HSE programs within the account.
  • Lead a team of US and International HSE professionals.


What you'll need

Bachelor's degree in EHS or related science and engineering discipline. A minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing HSE leadership responsibility in global organizations.

Direct work experience interacting with regulatory agencies and/or compliance officers is required.

Working knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations.

Experience leading Global teams and driving HSE strategy while interfacing with the client.
