Analyst - Real Estate Investments

Position Description:

Working closely with the acquisitions team, the analyst will provide analytical support for business development. Successful candidates will contribute to the Shorewood team by conducting in-depth market research, financial modeling, and underwriting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial models
• Market research
• Evaluate and underwrite investment opportunities
• Prepare and present financial models and investment memorandums to senior management and investors
• Support asset management and acquisitions departments as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, multi-task, and work in a lean group
• Passion for analysis and a high level of interest in the New York City real estate market
• Familiarity with affordable housing finance, with proficiency strongly preferred
• Proficient in quantitative and qualitative research
• Experience building and operating complex real estate financial models
• Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail as well as the ability to work under deadlines
