Position: Director, Leasing & Marketing

Dalan Management Associates Inc. (“Dalan”) is excited to hire a Director, Leasing & Marketing who is responsible for overseeing the in-house leasing team, renewals, and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate cares about their work product, helps others, over-communicates and is well organized. The position will directly report to the Managing Director of Asset Management. This position will be located in Dalan’s New York City office.

Responsibilities

Manage the Leasing and Renewals team, consisting of 4 team members.
Autonomously track all available units (vacant and on notice) and work with the Asset/Revenue Management team to assist in pricing units.
Compile and maintain all relevant leasing data for investor reporting.
Work across teams to improve leasing-related processes.
Maintain RentCafe, CRM Flex, Site Manager systems (Yardi Products).
Generate and implement Marketing strategies for the entire portfolio.
Oversee and manage third-party Affordable Housing brokers.
Ensure information from leasing and renewal activity is properly reflected throughout our internal systems.
Review all applicant information and approve new renters.
Create data reconciliation that provides the company with a forward-looking market approach.
Track and maximize the lease expiration curve.
Cross team, ad-hoc projects

Qualifications

Must have familiarity with Yardi and RentCafe.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or another relevant area.
3+ Years of Leasing experience, preferably in Multifamily.
General understanding of Rent Stabilization, Tax Abatements, etc.
Ability to generate and maintain spreadsheets and reporting.
Drive for continuous improvement and ability to change; a desire to take on ever increasing responsibilities.
