Controller Job Posting
We are looking for a controller to join our team and oversee the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of our real estate, corporate, and nonprofit entities along with the management of overall accounting policies, procedures and compliance. The Controller will be involved in the strategic direction and planning for the accounting division. The Controller will be a critical member of the overall accounting team and work to establish, manage and improve on processes and procedures that impact the team overall.
To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, and at least five years of experience in a similar position, and preferably an active CPA license. You should also have strong knowledge of accounting software and systems, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proven leadership abilities. You will be working closely with the senior management and owners, so you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of professionalism and integrity. You will have a proven history of implementing new processes and creating efficiencies along with demonstrated management and growth of staff and team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
 Strong knowledge of current accounting principles and tax rules and regulations.
 Understanding appropriate internal controls necessary to ensure safety of all real estate assets and business entities.
 Proficient in all Microsoft Office products. Knowledge and experience in working in Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains preferred.
 Ability to explain complex financial matters in a clear and understandable fashion.
 Comprehensive financial planning experience to include budget reviews and financial planning and analysis
 Works effectively under general direction; self-starter
Education & Training:
• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Active CPA license preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years accounting and financial management experience; 5-7 years in a senior level position.
