We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Leasing, focusing on our leasing strategy in the New York City market. 

Position Overview:
As the Head of Leasing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the leasing strategy for Portal Warehousing's properties in the New York City market. Your primary focus will be on the leaseup of "The Whale," an expansive industrial building located in the vibrant Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of commercial leasing in the city and contribute to the growth and success of our portfolio.

This role will be in-person and based out of Sunset Park, Brooklyn. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic leasing plans tailored to the New York City market, with a strong emphasis on industrial and industrial flex properties.
• Oversee the leaseup process for "The Whale" in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, working closely with potential tenants to understand their requirements and negotiate favorable lease terms.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential tenants, brokers, and industry partners to maximize leasing opportunities and stay ahead of market trends.
• Collaborate with the development and marketing teams to create compelling leasing materials and presentations that showcase the unique features and benefits of Portal Warehousing properties.
• Analyze market data, competitor activity, and tenant feedback to refine leasing strategies and make informed decisions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the leasing team, ensuring alignment with company goals and maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
• Collaborate with legal and financial teams to ensure lease agreements are accurate, compliant, and meet the needs of both the company and tenants.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven track record in commercial leasing, specifically in industrial and industrial flex properties within the New York City market.
• Strong network of industry contacts, including brokers, tenants, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals that are mutually beneficial.
• Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, trends, and tenant preferences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex leasing information clearly and persuasively.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a leasing team toward achieving targets.
• Familiarity with lease agreements, legal terminology, and financial principles related to leasing.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including Microsoft Office and leasing management systems.
