The Richman Group of Companies is currently seeking an Investor Relationship Manager/Vice President to conduct a wide range of new business initiatives. This position will be remote with travel to our Greenwich, CT headquarters on occasion and nationwide travel required.

For many years, The Richman Group has been one of the nation’s premier sponsors of affordable housing tax credit funds and the LIHTC program is the most important resource available today for creating affordable housing in the United States. To date, our organization has structured and sponsored real estate investment funds that have surpassed 1,600 properties acquired. Our properties are located in forty-nine states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, Saipan and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Investor Relationship Manager/Vice President will be the Investor’s primary point of contact for new and ongoing affordable housing investments. This person will actively participate in marketing to current and new Investors and will ensure the highest caliber of service and responsiveness to Investors. You will focus on securing major investments in our projects by successfully communicating our investment platform and strategy, presenting marketing materials that you create and building relationships. You will develop a deep knowledge of Investors’ goals, priorities, and strategies and will actively participate in marketing of our affordable housing LIHTC projects.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Cultivate new relationships and foster existing ones with Investors and develop a keen understanding of their investment needs and objectives.
• Raise equity dollars to be placed in proprietary and multi-investor fund executions.
• Set strategic planning and organizational priorities, goals and success indicators for new Investor tax credit partnerships.
• Strategically shape our brand voice and external image.
• Develop a social media strategy, including, concept design, content creation, and competitive analysis to further cultivate new Investor relationships.
• Participate in outside conferences and organizations and sit on appropriate industry panels to grow Richman’s presence in the market.
• Draft, edit, and review Investor communications.
• Assist in anticipating and meeting all investor due diligence requests and other elements required to deliver and close new proprietary funds and investments.
• Arrange and participate in project site visits, annual due diligence meetings, and other Investor-specific needs.
• Coordinate with internal staff to identify the appropriate product for each investor and track investor-specific deal pipelines.
• Preview new deals to Investors with the goal of obtaining preliminary Investor approval to proceed.
• Coordinate calls on deals in the closing process, managing Investor expectations regarding closing including possible issues and changes in underwriting or deal structure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in real estate, business, finance, urban planning, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience: Five (5) or more years in commercial real estate lending, development, or investment. Must have experience in originating Investor relationships in the LIHTC industry.

Requirements:

• Strong financial negotiation skills and experience.
• Very strong presentation and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint Excel, and Word.
• Ability to travel nationwide is required.
 
We are committed to our employees and their success. The base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000. Final base salary will be determined based on expertise, education, and experience. This position will also be eligible for performance-based bonuses.
