Fairwood Capital, LLC (Fairwood) is a real estate private equity firm focused on hospitality-related real estate investments. The firm manages institutional and high net worth capital through a series of private investment funds.
POSITION
Fairwood is seeking an Investment Analyst to support its acquisitions and asset management teams. The individual must be passionate about investing, capital markets and world affairs. Experience in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Reviewing and screening hotel and real estate investment opportunities
o Assisting in the creation of detailed financial analyses of investment opportunities
o Researching property, financial, market and legal due diligence matters
o Participating in the asset management and servicing of investments
o Developing skills to source new investment opportunities and marketing the firm through active participation in the real estate and investment community
QUALIFICATIONS
o High level of curiosity and passion for investing
o Strong critical thinking skills
o Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling skills are a prerequisite
o Strong analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving
o Strong written and verbal skills with ability to articulate his/her position and defend that position logically
o Strong project management skills, results-driven, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
o Deal instinct and owner mentality
o Keen attention to detail
o High energy; possessed with drive
o Suitability to an entrepreneurial culture that places a premium on performance
o Self-starting personality
o Strong sense of integrity and ethics
o Avid readers with diverse interests are preferred
