Job Description

CBRE is hiring for a FHA Underwriting Analyst and will have the option to work from the Denver or Chicago location. This role has the ability to work a hybrid work schedule with one day working remotely.

About the role

Responsible for supporting the Underwriting team by performing various analysis in order to assist underwriters in the preparation of prescreen packages and loan narratives for presentation to prescreen committee and/or loan committee.

What you'll do

Process incoming exhibits and other documentation required for loan approval.

Assist with the review of field underwriting submissions in preparation for loan committee and final delivery of investor packages.

Perform property and market level due diligence.

Other related tasks include credit, market and real estate analysis.

Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Bachelor's degree required. Prior related experience preferred but not required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present information.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Multifamily/ Healthcare underwriting experience strongly preferred.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.

Knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft applications including: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Be able to travel as needed.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Underwriting Analyst, FHA position is $65,000 annually [or $31.25 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Underwriting Analyst, FHA position is $75,000 annually [or $36.06 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
