About the role
The Associate will join CBRE’s premier Southeast team comprising nearly 30 individuals integrated across the Raleigh, Charlotte, Charleston, and Atlanta MSAs and responsible for +$9.0 billion of multifamily related transactions in 2022.
This role will work with, and learn from, industry leaders across high-profile listings featuring multifamily, land/development, and mixed-use projects. The candidate will be based in the Raleigh office and primarily work with Howard Jenkins, Executive Vice President, who leads multifamily investment sales across the Triangle, and other select North Carolina markets.
Among other attributes further defined below, the ideal candidate brings 3+ years of related industry experience with great energy and work ethic while efficiently delivering a high-quality work product for our clients. The candidate will start with a competitive base salary and bonus structure and will demonstrate the potential to advance into a future production role (100% commission-based).
What you’ll do
- Efficiently underwrite property valuations supported by in‐depth, relevant property and market analysis.
- Lead the preparation of compelling client presentations/deliverables and participate in client presentations.
- Play a meaningful role executing listing assignments including property tours and due diligence coordination.
- Provide timely dissemination of client-related requests.
What you’ll need
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Highly organized work practices and effective time management skills, while meeting client deadline with high quality work product.
- Highly developed verbal (and written) skills with effective communication across various internal and external parties.
- Strong analytical skills with close attention to underwriting details.
- Self-starter with ability to enhance/innovate processes to improve work quality and client experience.
- High work ethic, and motivation, in a transaction-oriented, positive team environment.
Background for the role
- Minimum 3 years of multifamily related experience.
- Real estate valuation, underwriting, and transaction experience.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
- Active North Carolina real estate license preferred or commitment to obtain within the first 4 months of employment (outside standard work hours).
