Momentum Real Estate Partners, LLC (“MREP”) is a private equity real estate firm that seeks to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns through the acquisition and proactive asset management of multifamily real estate assets in growing markets throughout the US.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle accounting tasks for multiple private equity funds, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of multifamily properties.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with external property accountants, property management firms, and fund administrators to facilitate financial reporting and intercompany reconciliation.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for property operations.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of capital calls, distributions, and partner's capital statements.
- Review and oversee related schedules, such as property insurance and taxes, depreciation, etc.
- Act as a liaison to external auditors during audits.
- Submit wires, ACHs, and internal bank transfers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in the real estate industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and intercompany accounting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) is a plus.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
