About the role:
As a CBRE Occupancy Planning Director, you will lead the achievement of strategic goals and occupancy planning results for a client or set of clients in the area of real estate strategy within a geographic area (e.g. National, Region, and/or Global).
What you'll do:
- Establish performance objectives and deliverables related to goals and objectives for a specific client or set of clients.
- Write or assist in writing RFP (Requests for Proposals) responses and completing those proposals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain key processes.
- Define priorities for site, area, and function planning as part of a one-time client engagement or as part of an ongoing client relationship.
- Lead and achieve financial, operational, and other measures as defined in deliverables and/or KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) established for the client or clients.
- Collaborate with other line of business team members to forecast and develop annual real estate plans and implement strategies for achieving savings and cost avoidance goals.
- Provide insights relative to strategic and/or optimization-focused initiatives.
- Develop benchmarks for the client's real estate portfolio to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide formal supervision to a team of employees within a regional or operational area.
- Recommend staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination.
What you'll need:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year college or university. Master's degree preferred.
- Eight or more years of experience in business consulting and real estate.
- Experience in a collaborative team environment. Proven leadership and management skills. Consistent record of providing excellent customer service to internal and external partners.
- Professional certification/designations in Corporate Real Estate (e.g. BCCR, CCIM, CPM, MAI) preferred.
- Understanding of the need for discretion when dealing with sensitive information and demonstrating the ability to act accordingly. Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues.
