S3 Capital Partners is the real estate credit platform of Spruce Capital Partners and is currently the most active middle-market private lender in New York City, providing real estate bridge and construction financing secured by recorded first liens in major markets throughout the United States.

 

Spruce Capital Partners is a privately held, New York-based real estate investment firm that owns, develops, and invests in real estate and real estate credit opportunities.

 

Position Overview:

 

S3 Capital Partners seeks to hire a highly motivated, dynamic individual to join the company as an Analyst.

 

The analyst’s primary responsibilities will be to support the company’s originations and underwriting efforts, prepare and present investment memorandum, conduct due diligence, and assist with asset management and financial analysis of the funds’ portfolios. In this capacity, the new hire will work with the firm’s originations, credit, construction, and legal teams as well as senior management to gain an in-depth understanding of the business.

 

The compensation range for this role is a base annual salary of $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience, plus a merit-based discretionary bonus at year-end.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform due diligence for new investment opportunities
  • Coordinate the underwriting process for potential new investments
  • Prepare Investment Committee memorandums describing potential new investments and participate in presenting them to the firm’s Investment Committee
  • Develop and maintain financial models
  • Assist in asset management of existing portfolios
  • Assist with marketing presentations and other investor relations functions

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of prior real estate finance experience
  • Driven / self-starter
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Sound understanding of real estate finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI is a plus
