About the role
The Cost Manager will lead individual multi-disciplined real estate cost solutions for Financial clients with direct accountability for cost delivery. The ideal candidate will promote and grow the Cost Consultancy business, providing direct input on pursuits and achieving new business wins.

This is a hybrid position. The selected candidate will be required to report to the New York City office as needed.

What You'll Do

Lead all aspects of commercial management including schedule, cost performance, commercial assurance governance, cost benchmarking, risk management, and capital planning.

Design and maintain project-specific cost models to coordinate expenditures; use cost model data to publish detailed and high-level reports to present to CBRE's clients.

Secure and leverage client-specific benchmarking and issue recommendations to produce costs in greater detail and provide supplemental cost management services.

Assess all CBRE collaborators and implement a commercial management strategy that identifies the goals of each team member to align for project delivery.

Develop rate analyses to ensure project spending achievements of desired return on investment and P&L goals.

Support cost aspects of the project closeout; negotiate, agree, and settle final accounts and close-out statements.

Produce and lead ROI analyses and develop cost comparisons on potential portfolio options (renew, relocate, purchase, etc.).

Review lifecycles spend of capital and expense/revenue costs; develop strategies to improve regional and global profit and loss (P&L) benefit.

Assess the financial benefit and risk rating of projects to assess the overall necessity of a project; develop and publish justification to support recommendations.

Create a detailed cost plan and maintain detailed cost reports to establish a strategy to run cash flows, and project accruals, and report progress in a manner consistent with CBRE policy.

Provide valuation services and signoff to the project team in collaboration with team members for validation of required scope and level of quality.

Lead reconciliation meetings with general contractors, construction managers, and third-party consultancies.


What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from a College or University in a technical area of study and a minimum of four years of related experience and or training.

Experience with software MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and PowerPoint

RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) or CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) accreditation preferred.

Equal Pay Disclaimer

The minimum pay for this position is $110,000 annually and the maximum pay for this position is $140,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
