CBRE Design Collective is seeking an Environmental Graphic Designer with experience in the following markets:
• Corporate (preferred)
• Retail (desired)
• Hospitality (desired)
This team member is passionate about design and always looking to push their skills to the next level. They have a range of both creative and technical experience, are a highly motivated problem solver, and are able to manage a diverse project load and client base.
This position can be located in any one of our studios - Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, New York, or San Francisco.
What you will do:
• Responsible for crafting and executing custom graphics in both 2D and 3D applications for our clients, working closely with our design team throughout the process.
• Conceptualize custom environmental designs such as wayfinding, wallcoverings, large format prints and 3D installations with the understanding of how graphics and interior design work cohesively together.
• Create digital designs such as 3D renderings/mock-ups to convey concepts to clients
• Interact with clients to understand their existing branding and cultures to develop purposeful designs.
• Develop presentation documents for clients that effectively represent the vision and quality of design proposed. Lead presentations with clients in order to gain feedback and consensus.
• Modify and refine designs to conform to client specifications, budget, and fabrication limitations, or changes in design.
• Participate in design critiques and charrettes with design team, clients, and senior leadership.
• Build and maintain vendor communications to ensure execution of design and meet overall project objectives.
• Prepare files for production including documentation to vendor, production files, substrate specification, quantities, and special instructions.
• Oversee fabrication and installation including prototypes, samples, and presence on-site during installation.
What you will need:
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Graphic Design required.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Environmental Graphic Design required.
• Experience with print production.
• Experience with graphic data visualization.
• A strong background developing brand strategy and/or environmental brand standard playbooks
• Experience designing signage and wayfinding systems is a plus (with focus on customer journey and human experience).
• Clear understanding and knowledge of substrates to secure proper 2D and 3D specifications for the project, budget, and space.
• Graphic application experience with a variety of substrate mediums including vinyl applied to gypsum wall board, acrylic, glass, and fabric, utilizing a variety of techniques including play between first and second surface application, opacity variations, and physical dimensionality.
• General field understanding of nuances of printing techniques, printer types and difficulties that may arise with different substrates.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dimension)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• 3D Computer modeling and rendering skills (SketchUp, Revit and/or other modeling software) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of industry standards and drawing documentation methods.
• Graphic presentation and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $90,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $100,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
