About The Role:

The GWS US Projects and Planning team is looking for a full-time space planner partner to establish a framework and methodology to manage the occupancy of labs, clean rooms, and engineering server rooms in the Milpitas campus.

The scope of services required is to independently manage end-user space requests for the circa 250,000 sf of cleanroom, lab, and engineering server spaces, in addition to making improvements to existing databases and processes to free up space for vacancies and make future occupancy management more efficient.

Will require the ability to work from the KLA Milpitas campus at least 3 days a week.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan and manage the utilization of interior controlled environment spaces including technical labs, clean rooms and engineering server rooms
  • Audit existing campus and partner with the business end users to record controlled environment usage and points of contacts in GWS database, and identify opportunities for consolidation and vacancy creation
  • Participate and lead activities related to controlled environment space needs assessments, requirements gathering, and short-range space planning.
  • Collaborate with GWS project teams to secure end-user consensus and approvals for project implementation
  • Implement space allocation assignments for cost chargeback accuracy
  • Establish and lead regular space planning meetings with cleanroom committees as applicable to space planning and logistics.
  • Prepare and present briefings in support of space planning decision-making to senior management
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members. Interact well with office staff and clients in a manner that builds positive relationships.
  • In collaboration with Planning senior management, develop a framework and process to govern CE space occupancy (swings, vacancies, assignments) and lead its implementation.

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field with 3+ years of experience in lab space planning
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • CAD experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full understanding of MEP building infrastructure systems and distribution
  • Experience in a multifaceted campus environment preferred
  • Experience working embedded within a Workplace Services department preferred.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $95,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $115,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
