Job Description
Position Title: Asset Manager or Associate Director
Reports to: Senior Director of Asset Management
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute the business plan developed by the acquisition team
- Continually re-evaluate the business plan and adjust based on market conditions, including:
- Revenue enhancement
- Operating efficiencies
- Capital expenditures and corresponding ROI
- Recommendations for transactions, including sale, refinance, or supplemental loans
- Communicate asset performance and issues to joint venture partners and senior management
- Collaborate with and drive performance of the property management and renovation teams
- Prepare and manage to property budgets, both operational and renovation
- Conduct on-site property visits to assess property condition and opportunities to add value
- Act in the capacity of owner’s representative with contractors, consultants, legal, and other third parties
- Analyze data and trends, especially leveraging technology
- Support transaction activity, including dispositions and financing efforts
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of real estate operations and investment concepts
- Experience with MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Working knowledge of accounting and finance
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, and good presentation skills
- Ability to work with teams in pursuit of goals
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
Education and Experience:
- Minimum four years of asset management experience (multifamily preferred)
- Four-year college degree
