Role & Responsibilities

Buchanan Street Partners, a real estate investment manager based in Newport Beach, CA, seeks a Vice President of Investor Relations. The position will report to the EVP & CCO who oversees Investor Relations for the firm’s HNW and RIA business. The individual will also work closely with the Compliance Officer.

Functions will include:

• Building and maintaining relationships with RIA’s, Family Offices and HNW investors.
• Capital raising and equity syndication for private real estate offerings including open and close ended funds, debt instruments and single asset partnerships.
• Target RIA clients range from $2-15 billion of AUM.
• Target HNW/Family Office clients of $100-500mm net worth
• Expected annual capital raise of $50-75mm

Required Background & Skills

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 10 years of experience with a proven track record of raising capital for alternative investment products from HNW investors and through RIA’s.  Ideally, the candidate will also have experience with commercial and multifamily real estate as well. A 4-year degree is required (business/economics major preferred); any graduate work or SEC/FINRA licensing is a plus. The selected candidate will have the following skills:

• Relevant investor relations experience and strong network
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships
• Working knowledge of SEC requirements for private offerings
