Professional Civil Engineer (PE) - Land Development

Job Description

GarzaEMC is a collaborative Team where each of our offices work together. A Professional Engineer should act as an “Assistant Project Manager”, well-versed in project design, financials, and schedules. They are the point of contact for clients if the Project Manager is unavailable and must be able to coordinate with other team members at all levels, both internal and external to the company. The primary role of the Professional Engineer is ensuring the completion of the engineering design and management of any permitting requirements.

Hiring office locations: North Austin, South Austin, San Antonio, TX & Nashville, TN

Responsibilities:

• Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and ensuring completion of project tasks
• Completion of project engineering design elements, technical analyses, etc.
• Management of project design and construction document development in AutoCAD Civil3D
• Managing and coordinating project permitting efforts
• Assisting in communication with project design, ownership, and construction teams
• Assisting in management and monitoring project progress, schedules and budgets
• Overseeing the successful completion of assigned projects

Required Licensing, Education & Experience:

• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• 5-10 years engineering experience in site civil/land development engineering
• High level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Relevant software programs may include GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, WaterCAD, and PondPack
