GAIA Real Estate is a lean and diverse firm that embraces an entrepreneurial spirit. The Acquisitions Intern will be an integral part of the Acquisitions team - involved in all aspects of underwriting.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Update cash flow models for multifamily investment opportunities throughout the United States
  • Prepare market research and rental competitive analyses using 3rd party data providers and independent investigation
  • Maintain active deal pipeline/database for the acquisitions team
  • Assist in the preparation of memoranda detailing investment rationale, market and property performance, execution risks and prospective returns
  • Support the team with ad hoc projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate/graduate student
  • Outstanding quantitative and financial modeling skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in English
  • Relevant real estate and/or finance experience (experience with US multifamily assets is preferred)
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Awareness and understanding of project goals and deadlines; ability to develop and monitor specific plans
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work individually or on a team
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to balance multiple projects

 

Additional Details:

  • Application process will include an Excel modeling test
  • Paid internship
  • Start date: ASAP with potential to extend employment beyond summer break
