GAIA Real Estate is a lean and diverse firm that embraces an entrepreneurial spirit. The Acquisitions Intern will be an integral part of the Acquisitions team - involved in all aspects of underwriting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Update cash flow models for multifamily investment opportunities throughout the United States
- Prepare market research and rental competitive analyses using 3rd party data providers and independent investigation
- Maintain active deal pipeline/database for the acquisitions team
- Assist in the preparation of memoranda detailing investment rationale, market and property performance, execution risks and prospective returns
- Support the team with ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate/graduate student
- Outstanding quantitative and financial modeling skills in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in English
- Relevant real estate and/or finance experience (experience with US multifamily assets is preferred)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Awareness and understanding of project goals and deadlines; ability to develop and monitor specific plans
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work individually or on a team
- Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to balance multiple projects
