Acquisition Analyst/Associate Position at Established New York City based Real Estate Investment & Development Company

 

Seeking an experienced Real Estate Analyst/Associate to join an active real estate acquisition team. The company is currently in an active expansion mode across its multiple markets and its core New York City investment portfolio.  

 

THE COMPANY:

We are a 50 plus-year-old privately-held real estate investment and development company based in New York City. The firm has a successful track record during all business cycles and across multiple asset types. 

 

EXPERIENCE:

A CANDIDATE MUST HAVE NO LESS THAN 2-3 YEARS OF ACTUAL RELEVANT REAL ESTATE UNDERWRITING EXPERIENCE.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and underwrite potential acquisitions and development opportunities, including cash flow modeling, property valuations, waterfalls, and investment analysis
  • Assist in all aspects of the due diligence process relating to new investments, including but not limited to the review of third-party reports, historical financial statements, leases, and market research
  • Prepare investment memo materials and updates for new or existing investments
  • Monitor and analyze the financial performance of existing assets
  • Maintain financial projections and preparing monthly and quarterly reports
  • Assist with special and ad hoc projects, as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with excellent academic record
  • Superior quantitative skills in financial analysis and modeling; experience with Argus preferred
  • Mastery of Excel a must
  • Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a keen eye for detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • This is an in-office position.  Candidate must be New York based and be able to work out of the office in Manhattan.
