Position Description

Revitate is seeking a Financial Analyst – Real Estate to join its entrepreneurial real estate team. The position will work closely with senior management to underwrite and conduct analysis on various deals in the pipeline. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Senior Vice President of Commercial Real Estate with transaction management throughout the investment process, including due diligence and closings.

The primary focus will be on real estate investments in Opportunity Zones. In addition, the role may potentially involve work on other real estate ventures, such as analysis related to Revitate Sports, the professional sports private equity arm of Revitate.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in real estate private equity, investment banking, or similar role, and will have excellent quantitative and communications skills. This role represents a pathway to grow professionally, expand one’s knowledge base, and be positioned for increased responsibilities and involvement in deal management.

The position is based at the firm’s headquarters in Newport Beach, CA, and will be in the located in the office Monday through Friday.

 Roles and Responsibilities

• Evaluation and execution of prospective investment opportunities including underwriting, financial analysis, preparation of presentations and investment recommendations, and acquisition due diligence
• Prepare and update financial models for prospective and existing investments including sensitivity analyses and deal structuring
• Review market, economic, and demographic research to assess local market conditions and the competitive set of properties for potential investments
• Identify of key risks and potential mitigants relating to potential investments
• Track and manage the firm’s private equity real estate investment pipeline
• Assist preparation of investor communications and periodic reporting
• Special projects as needed to support the firm’s activities

Qualifications, Experience, and Education:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2+ years real estate private equity, investment banking, or similar experience
• Strong understanding of real estate principles and a working understanding of real estate pro formas and valuation methods
• Exceptional Excel modeling skills and experience with complex cash flow waterfalls is a must
• Understanding of joint venture operating agreements and how to model JV waterfalls with multiple tiers
• Understanding of how to evaluate and financially model loan agreements for potential default risks and cash management complexities is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of ARGUS Enterprise is preferred, but not required

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience beginning at $90,000/year. We offer a robust benefits package including health, vision, and life insurance with optional dental, FSA, telemedicine and pet insurance, as well as discounted gym membership. We also have a 401k and offer a standard 15 days PTO.
