Get to Know the Opportunity

To provide asset management and analytical support related to the high yield and distressed commercial mortgage loan portfolio. This includes bridge loans and subordinate debt which typically include a value-add strategy to be monitored and supported. The key responsibilities include monitoring and communicating property operating performance, tracking key performance indicators, performing market research and analysis, and negotiating strategic concerns at the property, loan, and platform level.

The Contributions You Will Make

  • Perform financial analysis of existing high yielding commercial mortgage loan portfolio on quarterly/annual basis.
  • Monitor property performance and manage loan strategy; including limited travel to properties and markets to identify existing and future risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with underwriting and analysis of portfolio and provide actionable recommendations. 
  • Monitor quarterly financials to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Assist with borrower negotiations, workouts, and REO equity strategies. 
  • Review and approval of borrowers’ annual property operating budgets.
  • Participate in industry courses and seminars to increase skills and knowledge.
  • Develop efficient working relationships throughout the Real Estate Finance Group to identify strategic opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote a positive attitude and working environment among fellow employees.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience

  • College Degree with Major in Real Estate, Finance, or similar degree with relevant experience.
  • Up to 2 years’ experience in commercial real estate.
  • Excellent (verbal and written) Communication skills.
  • Superior analytical/problem solving/decision making skills.
  • Team Player.
  • Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Knowledge of CRE analytical and market research tools a strong plus (CoStar, REIS, Argus etc.).
