As a member of the Investments team you will play a crucial role in driving the firm's investment strategy and decision-making process. Leveraging your experience and expertise, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing on the most promising real estate investment opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on the firm's growth and performance. Candidate may choose to work in either the San Francisco or Los Angeles office.

Skills:

  • Highly-organized, motivated, and able to multitask effectively in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive organizational change
  • Ability to prioritize workload and operate autonomously as well as in a team-oriented setting
  • Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills. Working knowledge of real estate and financial analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • High proficiency in Excel and Argus Enterprise is a plus


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior team members to drive the sourcing and screening of potential real estate investment opportunities, leveraging your industry network and market knowledge
  • Conduct in-depth, data-driven analyses to evaluate macroeconomic trends, competitive landscape, and asset-specific fundamentals, providing strategic insights to the investment team
  • Develop sophisticated financial models and analytical tools, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, valuation assessments, hold/sell scenarios, and lease analysis
  • Manage the due diligence process, ensuring the thorough gathering and analysis of relevant property, market, and financial data
  • Assist in the negotiation of legal agreements, including those related to acquisitions, joint ventures, refinancings and dispositions
  • Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda, market studies, hold/sell analyses, and detailed business plans for the investment committee and external stakeholders
  • Review and analyze the financial performance, budgets, and valuations, identify value-enhancement opportunities, and ensure efficient property operations and timely reporting
  • Actively participate in internal presentations and discussions, providing insightful opinions and recommendations to help shape the firm's investment strategies and business plans
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, sharing your in-depth knowledge of specific real estate markets, sectors, and investment strategies with the broader team
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers, tenants, buyers, sellers, third-party managers, lenders, joint venture partners, and other industry stakeholders
