Brookwood Financial Partners, LLC, (“Brookwood”) a leading private equity real estate investment firm, seeks an experienced Real Estate Financial Analyst for its Acquisitions and Asset Management team.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

As part of a respected and growing private equity real estate investment firm, the Real Estate Analyst will play an active role in analyzing real estate investment opportunities and operating an existing portfolio of office and retail investments.  The analyst will work closely with members of the asset management and accounting teams and will be responsible for shepherding real estate investment opportunities through all aspects of the investment process, including acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, and portfolio reporting.

 

The primary job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Model and analyze prospective real estate acquisitions, using Argus software and advanced Excel;
  • Participate in all aspects of the due diligence process for acquisitions, including the review of leases, operating expenses and capital expenses on a current and historical basis;
  • Analyze current portfolio property performance working with asset management to develop  projections for properties with changes in market conditions or business strategies;
  • Prepare quarterly investor reports and investor communications;
  • Research and understand market trends for current portfolio markets and new markets for acquisitions;
  • Assist with various projects; and
  • Participate in the dispositions process by working with third parties and providing due diligence materials.

 

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two to four years of commercial real estate or similar related financial or analytical experience.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills and competency in Argus Enterprise. Knowledge of Yardi, VBA, Word and PowerPoint a plus.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills who is attracted to a small, collegial working environment.
  • Proactive, result-oriented, with a can-do attitude in meeting critical deadlines and an ability to multi-task and work independently.  Must be flexible in responding to changing circumstances and deadlines.
  • Must be open to occasional travel for property and market due diligence.
