Job Description
- Financial modeling and the development of pro formas using property financials, macro capital market trends, current market and competitive property trends, and legal due diligence matters.
- Preparing high-quality marketing materials and offering memorandums.
- Delivering detailed market analysis, including research on market and submarket trends such as inventory, absorption, supply pipeline, and rent and vacancy trends.
- Reviewing and analyzing complex commercial real estate legal documents, including but not limited to leases, purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, easement agreements, development agreements, and memorandum of understanding agreements.
- Conducting telephone interviews to gather market data from brokers, appraisers, investors, and other market participants.
- Compiling and evaluating economic, demographic, and real estate market data for client presentations.
- Developing skills to source new financing opportunities and marketing the firm through participation in the real estate community.
- 2-4 years of experience in finance or commercial real estate finance, with a focus on underwriting and valuation.
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Strong understanding of CRE valuation and basic capital markets principles, including NPV, income capitalization, IRR, and bond math.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to operate both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines.
