Babcock Ranch, America’s first solar powered town seeks an experienced Financial Analyst. Reporting to the VP - Finance, the Senior Analyst conducts and documents financial analysis, reporting, modeling, performance tracking, and asset management support. In addition, this position analyzes various investment opportunities including data gathering efforts, research, underwriting potential new business opportunities, and expediting various ad-hoc reports and analyses. The Senior Analyst also assists with preparing analysis, reports, and presentations to the company’s partners and Advisory Board.
Responsibilities:
Retail:
· Collaborates with K&P’s teams to provide full analytical, strategic and financial support. This includes maintaining and updating asset financial models on an ongoing basis and assisting with formulating, monitoring and forecasting strategic analysis of all K&P assets to assist with creating strategic business plans that maximize the value of K&P’s assets.
· Assists in supporting the monthly, quarterly and annual budget and forecasting process, annual business plan and annual budget process by tracking business performance against operating plans and variance analysis.
· Performs complex multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use development underwriting.
General:
· Updates investment models and proformas in MS-Excel and ARGUS Enterprise.
· Analyzes new investment opportunities for Company growth to increase investor margins and cash flows.
· Reports on existing assets.
· Performs market research to help identify key trends, potential risk and opportunities to stay informed about industry trends, transactional activity and the marketplace regarding economic issues and real estate issues.
· Creates ad-hoc reports / analyses to support all K&P divisions so that the best investment decisions can be made.
· Regular in-person attendance is required.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:

· Proficient understanding of commercial real estate development and construction costs, specifically retail, for modeling and underwriting.

· Proven business and financial acumen.
  • High levels of proficiency in all MS Office applications with expert level MS-Excel experience and financial modeling experience.
  • Proficiency in ARGUS Enterprise.
  • Strong attention to detail and be able to multi-task.
· Ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures.
· Ability to plans and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction.
· Ability to develop presentations and reports for executive level review.
Educations and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance or Real Estate.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a finance related role within the real estate sector, with an emphasis in commercial or mixed-use experience preferred.
