Job Description
QuadReal is currently seeking an Analyst to be a member of the Asset Management team providing analytical support for US Industrial portfolio, as well as analytics for US Investment Strategy and Strategic Partnerships. The position anticipates the candidate will grow into the role of a junior asset manager. This position will be based at our corporate office in New York City and will report to the Vice President, Asset Management, US Industrial.
- Work closely with asset and portfolio managers and investment teams to maximize the total return for each asset through the analysis of property fundamentals and identifying opportunities for improved performance
- Participate in the drafting and implementation of strategic business plans for each asset that will govern its daily operations, position in the market, and ultimate disposition
- Continually monitor asset performance and joint venture partners compliance to reporting and general direction for business plans, budgets, forecasts, leases, analysis and approvals
- Aggregate asset management data and prepare in conjunction with Portfolio Management monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with for clients, senior management and BCI (as required)
- Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for clients and senior management.
- Work closely with the regional investment team to create, audit, and maintain Argus and Excel-based asset management models for each asset from acquisition through disposition. Prepare hold/sell analyses and lease approval memos in conjunction with the investment team and asset managers
- Work with the Strategic Partnerships group to evaluate recapitalization opportunities within the portfolio, with focus on analytics and due diligence
- Evaluate the local markets to identify changes and trends and the related impact on real estate values and investment strategies
- Travel to visit real estate assets throughout USA as appropriate
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred in real estate acquisitions, asset management, valuation, construction management/budgeting, accounting/audit, operations, or finance
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with Accounting, Finance or Real Estate preferred
- Understanding of real estate fundamentals, financing principles, and capital structures
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ARGUS
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Ability to multi-task effectively
