Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Leasing and Compliance to oversee the daily operations of our remote leasing team and assist the with oversight of a growing portfolio of 3rd party managed properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a highly efficient remote leasing team. They will also be expected to travel to properties across CA to manage on site leasing needs as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee the remote leasing and application processing team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of applications, certifications, and recertifications.
· Collaborate with finance, development, and operations departments to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
· Generate and review reports on property status, operating performance, and compliance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
· Monitor and analyze the performance of the affordable housing portfolio, including financial performance, occupancy rates, and compliance with regulatory agreements.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and performance requirements affecting the portfolio.
· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as funding source requirements related to affordable housing.
· Manage the initial lease-up of approximately 750 units per year, ensuring timely and compliant occupancy.

Qualifications:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in Property Management, with a focus on affordable housing leasing
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
· Certification in Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance from an accredited provider (e.g., Quadel, Novogradac) is preferred.
· Willingness to travel to properties across California to address on site leasing needs
· Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage and motivate a remote team effectively.
· Proficiency in affordable housing finance, property management, and development.
· Expertise in housing laws, public subsidy programs, tax credit project management, certification, compliance and reporting requirements.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows in a dynamic environment.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication skills preferred.
