Job Description
SUMMARY:
Company is a Bergen County, New Jersey-based full-service real estate development company. The Company acquires, develops and manages open-air shopping centers and retail properties primarily in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantics U.S.
The Company is actively searching for an Accounting/Finance Associate to join its team and assume certain accounting responsibilities related to its retail portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bergen County, New Jersey-based developer is seeking an Accounting/Finance Associate (0-4 years) to assist with accounting functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accounting
· Full responsibility for all AP including utilities
· Maintain Tenant and Vendor Insurance certificates (log and load to Skyline)
· Assist with CAM reconciliations
· Update the CAM spreadsheet for expenses and load images to the respective property folder
· Monthly Bank Reconciliations
· Help to upload Annual Property Budgets to Skyline once finalized
· Assist with monitoring hard & soft cost budgets throughout development projects
· Update a recap sheet and individual construction budget files for all proposals
· Maintain all snow removal contracts once business terms have been negotiated each August / September
· Maintain records that tenants are properly maintaining their HVAC units
· Maintain records that restaurant tenants are having their exhausts cleaned and tested
· Maintain camera systems – pull footage or pictures when requested
· Maintain Tenant and Vendor Insurance certificates (log and load to Skyline)
REQUIREMENTS:
· BS in Accounting or Finance and minimum 1 year of equivalent experience
· Candidate should be detail oriented, possess excellent communication and MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced office environment.
· Experience with commercial real estate and Skyline (accounting software) is preferred.
