Position Overview
The Analyst, Multifamily Asset Management will be part of a team that is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a growing Multifamily portfolio. This role will be responsible for providing operational/financial analysis, research, asset management support, ad-hoc reporting, and portfolio updates to senior management. Responsibilities are broad and vary, and such responsibilities directly affect the key operations of the business.

The Analyst, Multifamily Asset Management will be part of a team that is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a growing Multifamily portfolio. This role will be responsible for providing operational/financial analysis, research, asset management support, ad-hoc reporting, and portfolio updates to senior management. Responsibilities are broad and vary, and such responsibilities directly affect the key operations of the business.
Essential Duties
- Perform advanced modeling and valuation analysis (Argus and Excel) for existing assets within the portfolio, developments and/or structured investments of multifamily properties; tasked with complex projects and modeling scenarios.
- Create discounted cash flow models used to analyze returns for existing investments and NAV discussions.
- Prepare thorough yet concise Memos and support the presentation of portfolio trends and operations to senior management and leadership.
- Data driven and able to formulate key findings and themes based on judgment and empirical analysis of the data.
- Professionally represent Ares to the broader real estate community (e.g., brokers, bankers, property management firms and other service providers).
- Support senior management in matters related to the successful operation of various business units
- Other special projects as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in commercial real estate (multifamily preferred) with financial analysis and modeling training in a real estate acquisitions / investment management, brokerage company or investment banking environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, intuitive, collaborative, strong problem-solver, self-motivated and team-oriented; ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel 20%.
